Our Club
As the student run Catholic organization on campus, we strive to encourage all students to grow deeper in their faith. We offer fellowship, service opportunities, bible study and prayer. It is our mission to serve not only the Hofstra community but the larger community of Long Island and abroad. We work closely with the Newman Clubs and Catholic Campus Ministries of other surrounding universities such as Adelphi University, Stonybrook University, C.W. Post, Nassau Community College, St. Joseph's College, and the Merchant Marine Academy. In the past we've gone on mission trips to Belize, Ecuador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Philadelphia, PA, Joplin, MO, Long Beach, NY, and Whitley County, KY and we've participated in Midnight Runs to help feed and clothe the homeless of NYC. We've traveled to Patterson, NJ to assist the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and hosted events with the Sisters of Life and for nearby Nursing Homes and Elementary schools. We also do several service projects in the surrounding area year-round, from Regina Residence in Merrick to Momma's House in Jericho to Catholic Charities and The Inn all over the Island. We typically host two retreats a year, one in the Fall and one in the Spring.
Join us on Monday nights at 9pm in Room 219 in the Student Center!
Our mission is to know Christ Jesus and fulfill His Great Commission by first living and then communicating the fullness of life within the family of God. We join Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI in his desire for all young people to be "rooted and built up in Jesus Christ, firm in the faith" (Col. 2:7).
